  • Requires investment in Cayman real estate with a minimum value of CI$1,000,000
  • Must demonstrate annual income of at least CI$120,000 without employment
  • No right to work in the Cayman Islands
  • Holder and dependents can reside in Cayman
  • Popular pathway for retirees and remote professionals

Certificate of Direct Investment

Business investors & entrepreneursDuration: 25 years, renewable
  • For those making a substantial direct investment in a Cayman business
  • The business must generate employment opportunities for Caymanians
  • Holder permitted to be actively involved in the business
  • A pathway for entrepreneurs who want to establish in Cayman

Permanent Residence

Long-term residents (8+ years legal residency)Duration: Permanent
  • Points-based system requiring 110 points across 9 categories
  • Categories include: occupation, education, local investments, financial stability
  • Also considers community integration, history/culture test, Caymanian connections
  • Demographics, cultural diversity, and age also factor in
  • Points can be deducted for certain factors
