A guide to schooling options for families relocating to the Cayman Islands

Education in Cayman

The Cayman Islands offers a range of educational options for families. Private schools follow British, American, or International Baccalaureate curricula, while government schools provide free education for residents. Most expatriate families opt for private schools, and school fees are often factored into employment contracts.

School places can be competitive, especially at popular schools. We recommend applying as early as possible — ideally 6–12 months before your move.
